1. Log on to the Windows 8/Windows 8.1 using administrator account.
2. From the Start screen, click the Internet Explorer tile.
   
3. On the opened Internet Explorer interface, click the gear icon from the top right corner of the window.
4. From the displayed list, click the Internet options option.
   
5. On the opened Internet Options box, go to the Privacy tab.
6. From the displayed interface, under the Pop-up Blocker section, check the Pop-up Blocker checkbox.
   
7. In order to add the authentic sites from where you want to receive the pop-ups, you must add the URLs of the sites to the Pop-up Blocker’s Allowed sites list by clicking the Settings button under the Pop-up Blocker section.
8. On the opened Pop-up Blocker Settings box, in the Address of website to allow field, type the URL of the website from where you want to allow the pop-ups.
9. Click the Add button to add the typed URL to the Allowed sites list.

10. Once this is done, click Close, and back on the Internet Options box, click OK to save the changes that you have made.
11. Restart the Internet Explorer to allow the changes to take effect.
